What is the brief and how have you interpreted it?
Our purpose and role we have to put in place is to ensure that we remind people of what channels. channel 4 have to offer. The campaign should include either 1 X 60 second feature ident or 2 X 30 second idents. The best times to publish the idents are seasonal. This is because this will allow there to be more awareness and seasonal occasions that make the public look forward to certain times of the year. for example, Halloween. it is close and everyone gets in the festive spirit.we have the choice of using animation and or live action as well as audio in the ident.
What is the purpose of your indent?
Ident enlightens the audience on what there is upcoming and what channel 4 has to offer the viewers. The specific purpose is to educate, entertain and informs. I desire what benefits the audience the most.
Synopsis of your ident:
I have decided to pick 2 x 30 second idents over the 1 x 60 second ident. The cloud initial idea will be broadcasted in the morning and the cake idea will be broadcasted in the afternoon. Both of the initial ideas have different unique sparks to them that'll draw the audience in and not be that same characterless ident you see all the time on tv.

My duration of my initial idea number one will be set during the Moring at 10:30 am. I believe that the best idea out of the three is having the channel 4 number jumping from cloud to cloud in the sky having each of the clouds containing different shows and genres when jumping into cloud from cloud as if it's a Christmas stocking sock jumping in finding things (different channel). This is why, the decision was confirmed to be shown in the Moring as it represents what channels will be presented throughout the day. from one cloud and show to another.The ident will consist of:
- intense music and background sound - birds chirping, aeroplane.

Initial idea 2:
My second idea to pick is the Cake cutting. during cutting a slice, a character animated as the number 4 pops out, this then will transition to flashing scenes from different shows that they present on the channel. This ident will be presented during at lunch to not only advertise the cake but to make the audience fancy to pop into the shops buy cake and enjoy there show that is coming up or will come up later on in the day. This shows that the program is suitable for everyone and even if the ident is a little goofy or childish in some sense, its wholesome and shows that yes channel 4 is a number on a channel. The cake represents how good the programs are whilst trying to tell the audience it is as good as imaging how good the cake tastes.- voice over
